DEPARTMENT OF SCHOOL COUNSELING
The Emerson School Counseling Department provides a comprehensive program that is integral to the total school community. Although counselors are responsible for organizing and planning the program, the cooperation and support of teachers, administrators and families is essential to the success of the program. The school counseling department provides two modes of service: programs, curriculum and prevention and the second is response and crisis intervention. Throughout our interactions with students grades preK through twelve there are three student domains of academic development, career development and personal/social development. The school counseling department is a liaison between our students, families and faculty.
The Emerson School Counseling Department consists of Kelly Riedel, Director of School Counseling, Administrative Assistant, Donna Diebner, Jr- Sr High School Counselor, Karen Biondo, Jr-Sr High School Counselor, Susan Borgognone, and Student Assistant Counselor, Denise Connon.
