Throughout her years at Emerson Junior-Senior High School, Briella has been a tremendous asset to our school community. She exemplifies the very best qualities of an Emerson student, combining outstanding academic achievement with genuine kindness and a strong sense of service to others.
Briella's motivation is fueled by both intellect and heart. Her exceptional aptitude in the sciences was recognized through the prestigious Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award from the University of Rochester, an honor that reflects both her academic accomplishments and her promise as a future healthcare professional. She plans to pursue a degree in Nursing at Rutgers University before continuing her studies toward becoming a Physician Assistant.
Her academic excellence has been recognized through numerous honors, including receiving the English 2 Honors Award of Highest Distinction and the World History Award of Highest Distinction. These achievements reflect not only her academic ability but also her dedication, discipline, and love of learning.
Beyond the classroom, Briella has made significant contributions to school life through her involvement in numerous organizations and activities. She serves as an editor and writer for the Journalism Club, helping to inform and connect the school community through thoughtful and engaging publications. As a National Honor Society tutor, she generously shares her knowledge and supports fellow students in their academic pursuits. As Co-Leader of the CAVO Cancer Crushers, Briella has played an instrumental role in fundraising and organizing community events, including Relay for Life.. Briella has also contributed to the arts as a member of the Stage Crew, assisting with props and costumes for school productions, Teen Arts, and other special events.
Outside of school, Briella continues her commitment to service by volunteering at the Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center, where she spends her free time assisting residents and contributing positively to the community.
